pipe bursting process
Do you need to replace a pipe, but can’t easily access it? Or don’t want to tear up your yard? If you answered yes, then pipe bursting is for you.
Pipe bursting is a trenchless pipe replacement method for deteriorated sewer or drain lines. Pipe bursting can offer significant savings and drastically reduce surface disruption to public and private utility owners under favorable conditions. The methods result in an existing pipe being replaced size-for-size or up-sized with a new pipe in the same location.
In a typical pipe bursting operation, a cone-shaped tool (“bursting head”) is inserted into and forced through an existing pipe, fracturing the pipe and pushing its fragments into the surrounding soil. At the same time, a new pipe is pulled into the same location using our pipe bursting machinery.
